They’re functional, sure—but can Kleenex boxes be part of a home décor scheme?
Maybe in the past it was a toss-up: keep a box of Kleenex out because it’s functional (especially in winter—am I right?!), or hide it away and end up having to search for it when you’re in need. I have to be honest—I really like the way the new Kleenex boxes look. I know a few interior designers who will be glad to hear about this new partnership!
How do you make something functional, like a box of Kleenex, part of your home décor? Easy: stop hiding it and pretending it isn’t there! Celebrate every single thing you choose to include in your décor by giving it pride of place—these gorgeous boxes would look amazing lined up on a mantle place, for instance.
Here’s how I celebrated these functional products in my own home:
A vintage modern style décor is one where classic furniture and accessories come with a modern twist. Naturally, the contrasting colours and vintage patterning on the Kleenex box I’ve put on display fits right in. There’s no need to hide your Kleenex box away with these new designs.
There are two differently coloured boxes that would work well in my décor: one being a lovely pink floral pattern and the other a blue floral. Both have contrasting colours to my décor. There’s no point hiding these away and searching for them whenever I need a Kleenex—not when they actually add to the look of my apartment!
The Kleenex brand will celebrate 90 years in 2014 and plans to celebrate in Style with these newly designed Kleenex® Expressions Tissues – All the softness you expect from Kleenex® tissues with unique box designs to help decorate any room. In stores March 17th.
