This project is a renovation and redecoration of my mom’s older home in Calgary. It is badly in need of updating both on the exterior and the interior. This is a 4-level split with a large backyard—so there is a lot of work that needs to be done! As an interior designer, I have always wanted to work on my mom’s home and now that I am back living in the city, I will have a chance to do just that.
I am going to need a lot of help to get this project done with an extremely tight budget. I plan on featuring products that I use for this project here on my blog, and documenting my progress along the way.
Here are a few of the projects I’ll be working on:
Repainting main floor roomsReplacing baseboards and adding crown moulding to at least 2 floors (mentioned above)Crown Moulding will be done shortlyPainting kitchen cupboardsReplacing kitchen cupboard pulls and handlesRepairing kitchen cupboardsReplacing toilet in main bathroom (DONE)Replacing broken blinds with curtains or sheersPutting in new 12″ cupboard next to dishwasherReplace old main door lock/handle- ETC. So many things need to be done!

And, I would love to have a new kitchen faucet, bathroom faucet, etc. plus new rug and other decorative items as well.
There is a lot of work that needs to be done outside, which will have to wait until next summer.
