It would be pretty fair to say that the Venture Case from Case-Mate is my favourite iPad2 case so far! I like how the case encloses my iPad2 entirely, so that I know the screen and backside are well-protected. This may not be necessary at home, but when taking my iPad2 outside, it’s nice to know that I can safely pop the whole thing in to my bag and be off.
The Venture case is really comfortable to hold, because it is slightly padded, with soft felt-like material inside. I love the combination of red and black. Greg says it is as classy as a fancy sports car. I think if we owned a fancy sports car, this case would be the one that we’d always carry our iPad2 in!
Of course, this isn’t just something to use to protect your iPad2—this case is also a nicely designed stand, too. The iPad2 rests on the felt-like material so that you can adjust the angle of the view. There are snaps to close the case when you’re done watching your favourite episodes of Pretty Little Liars or Gossip Girl. Like any good case/stand, all the buttons, ports and what-not are exposed for use.
Other than the fact that this case/stand also protects the back of the device, what makes the Venture Case great is how the iPad2 is entirely enclosed. The sides are well protected. This case resembles a really nice book when closed.
This Venture iPad2 case is well worth the $49.99, and comes as shown—in classy black and red. Casemate has so many great cases for all your favourite gadgets, that it makes it hard to choose which ones to tell you about. I like their line of Barely There cases, which I got to take a look at—check out my Barely There iPad2 review.
