8 Creative & Inspiring Blogs that you Should Check Out

Blog Bosses share the love. Here are 8 blogs that inspire creativity. I’m taking a Blog Boss e-course through Decor8, and this week’s homework was to share 8 blogs that rock (and why). I found it hard to narrow down the list. I wanted to share blogs that are not necessarily well-known.

Oh, Hello Friend: You are Loved

This is an oldie but a goodie. I’ve been reading this blog for years, though I somehow recently forgot about it. I love the general look of the blog and how well it integrates with the online shop, in terms of aesthetics and branding.

There are stationery finds, DIY projects, features on illustrations and art, and packaging. Danni, the blog owner, recently opened up a brick and mortar shop for her stationery line (and more) in California.

Formal Fringe

Though I don’t often have the opportunity to throw parties, I love looking at Formal Fringe for party ideas. This blog covers party games, food and entertaining ideas, like the plastic wishbone for a dinner party. I appreciate the original content, and great photography.

This is Formal Fringe, a place where nothing is too small—or too big—to celebrate with handmade details. I’ve made it my mission to celebrate the small stuff and make something out of nothing. I’m promising to print out formal place cards, make an oath to mail party invites the old-fashioned way, and vow never to bring a store-bought dish to a potluck ever again.

Underbaraclara’s Varld (Gorgeous Clara?)

I am only able to enjoy this charming Swedish blog, thanks to Chrome’s translate feature. I like that Clara blogs from the heart, sharing moments spent with her family, what she believes in and gorgeous photos she’s taken. I’m inspired by the fact that Clara has put out a book. This really makes me think about all the other creative venues there are out there that can stem from blog-writing and a good online presence.

Little House Blog (Aubrey and Lindsay)

This Canadian blog is all about easy DIY projects and home organization, amongst other things. Check out this blog for decorating ideas for the whole home.

Design Shimmer

There isn’t much text on this blog, but I am inspired by the pictures.

Blackbird

Another blog that I enjoy, courtesy of Chrome’s translator is from Charlotte. The posts are aesthetically pleasing and her style matches my own preferences.

Blogs from fellow Blog-Boss students:

India pied- à-terre

Deb’s blog really hits home with me. She’s furnishing a second home in Chennai, India, and her blog is all about her journey doing so. Having a second home in India has long been a dream of mine, so I’m happy to see her progress and ideas.
