Tazim Damji, CID (Interior Design and ALA Lighting Expert certification), B.A. in Art History with a minor in First Nations Studies
My background is in interior design, and art history, but my passion is writing and social media. I work as a community manager/editor/blogger in Vancouver, Canada. I grew up (for 15 years anyway) in Calgary, Alberta – my family still lives there.
I have also lived in Houston, Texas. My family (1 older brother, mom, and dad) moved there from Vancouver (where I was born) when I was 2 and we lived there for 10 years. I spent a year in New Zealand and have travelled all over the world.
Other than blogging, I enjoy reading non-fiction books, eating and making vegan food, watching movies, going for walks and snowshoeing, travelling, and creating art.

Blog Beginnings
Based in Western Canada— BeingTazim.com is a blog focused on reader-service, organized around the principle that every individual has varied interests and unlimited creative potential. Our primarily female readership is tech-savvy, active, and networked. Our content ranges from smart tips for cooking and baking vegan food on a budget, to smart ways to decorate and entertain, to smart ideas for maintaining and improving one’s health and wellness.
I started this blog over 10 years ago, in March 2010, as a way to focus on my ‘hidden’ personas. As a full-time student at the University of British Columbia for the past few years, I focused on little other than being a student. This blog came out of my desire to pursue my creative personas.
You can find out how we can work together by looking at my promotional policies page.
