Karim Rashid, typically known for his colourful, whimsical designs takes a different approach with his new collection for Alessi.

Karim Rashim

These new pieces for Alessi, including a fruit holder, citrus basket and tray, are much more geometrical and angular than Rashid’s previous designs. The Hellraiser series reminds me of Zelda: Twilight Princess!

Tray

Alessi fruit

Fruit

Citrus basket in mirror polished stainless steel ($266) and gray epoxy resin ($184). Tray in mirror polished stainless steel ($225) and gray epoxy resin ($143).

Well, Rashid must be doing something right with his new designs for Alessi – they are currently all sold out on the Alessi online shop!

What do you think of these pieces? Do you like them more or less than Rashid’s other designs?
