Customize your Self-Care with a Custom Blending Kit (With Giveaway)

Self-care is something I’ve talked about a few times on this blog. It’s something I practice everyday, no matter how busy I am. I use diffusers to scent the air with my favourite essential oils or blends, I have baths at least twice a week (except during the summer months), and I give myself hand and foot massages whenever I remember to.

Instead of using someone else’s idea of what I should have in my bath water or use for massages, I prefer to DIY my blend using Escents’ Custom Blending Kit. It can be used to create custom blends for massage oil and bath oil.

Guess what? I am happy to announce that Escents has agreed to offer a Custom Blending Kit for one of my readers! The giveaway form to enter to win is at the bottom of the post. It is open to Canadians only and ends December 8th.

Custom blending kit

What’s included:

-Scentless Massage & Bath Oil
-10ml Bergamot Essential Oil
-10ml Geranium Essential Oil
-10ml Lavender Essential Oil
-10ml Ylang Ylang Essential Oil
-A dropper
-A bottle to blend your creations
-Six of our favourite recipes

Recipes include:

-Balance

-Tranquility

-De-Stress

-Headache Relief

-After Dark

-Uplift

The recipes above can be used to make either bath oil or massage oil. There’s plenty of carrier oil included in this kit, so you can feel free to use the different recipes in the booklet, or create your own (there’s a page at the back of the booklet to write in your own recipes).

I tend to suffer from headaches, so plan on putting together the Headache Relief recipe and using it to give myself scalp and shoulder massages. The oil is colourless and is easily absorbed into the skin when massaged in.

The custom blended oil works well in a bath, too. I love the scent of ylang ylang, so I made my first blend using it and bergamot. I find soaking my feet in warm water (or having a full bath)does wonders for helping me go to sleep at night. It’s the perfect way for me to wind down after a long day.

Which of the 6 recipes mentioned above most appeal to you? And would you use the oil for baths or massages? Or both?

The Custom Blending Kit from Escents (ARV $55) makes a great gift for yourself or your loved ones. Here’s another idea: have a blending party followed by hand and foot massages!
