Learning more about the Earth sure makes me appreciate all its beauty. It also makes me want to do what I can to protect it. This Earth Month I’ve been reading up about rivers, lakes and glaciers around the world. As well, I’ve read about weather patterns, oceans and waterways and the forests of the world.
I didn’t know what to expect with a book called Smithsonian Earth: The Definitive Visual Guide. Maybe I didn’t expect the book to be quite so definitive! It really does cover a lot in its 528 pages.
This picture really doesn’t do the book justice, but it gives you some idea of the quality of the images. There are many more full-page spreads showing the Earth’s beauty.
Check out the full range of Earth Month books from the DK Earthly Pleasures Boutique. Smithsonian Earth: The Definitive Visual Guide is (ARv $50) available at your favourite bookstores online, and on the DK Canada website.
