Fall Mantel Makeover

It’s one of my favourite times of the year, when all the gorgeous oranges and browns are out in full force. To bring a bit of the fall cozyness inside, I decided to update the decorations on my mantelpiece.

When you live in an apartment without a fireplace, you have to make do with what you have. In my case: a wall shelf that acts as a mantelpiece. One of the easiest ways to dress up my apartment and change things up seasonally is to dress up my mantelpiece. This year, I’ve been lucky enough to partner up with Canadian Tire to decorate for the fall season.

I like that these fall décor items are inexpensive, yet high-quality, which means that they’ll last for many fall seasons to come.

Since I love bringing a bit of the outdoors inside, I chose to decorate with natural and natural-looking elements. The dried grass on the pumpkins compliment the standing decoration, which I put on the floor to create a second fall décor grouping.

Tip: when putting together pieces for your fall mantel, use varying heights and keep to just a few colours to tie everything together. Here, I used orange, brown and gold.

Canadian Tire has a huge variety of decorations available for every season. Check out their fall décor selection in-store and online.
