I love My Dad and His Fancy Pen Habits #FathersDay — Parker Urban Pen #Giveaway $50 ARV Canada Only Ends 06/09

I received a Parker Urban Pen in order to share my honest thoughts with you.

My dad will use his Parker Urban Pen (Amazon link) everyday. When I think of fancy pens, I think of my dad. He has always kept a beautiful pen on him, for as long as I can remember. He is someone who likes to keep track of his purchases by using his credit card, or at least he did when I was growing up, before debit cards were around. Before pin #s existed for credit cards, my dad always signed the slips from the cashiers with his own fancy pen.

Unlike my mom, who likes to use a high-quality, weighty pen to write notes and letters to her friends and family, my dad uses his pen for more utilitarian, everyday writing. My dad is more of a minimalist when it comes to how his apartment is laid out, and how he arranges his things. He isn’t someone who has a million different pens, he just uses a few top-quality ones.

The type of pen that my dad can be seen carrying and using everyday can most easily be described as classic with a modern twist—just like the Parker Urban pen, which has an unconventional bullet shape. The classic arrow design on the pen lid will let you know you’re using a quality pen that has been around for 125 years, and will be sure to be around for many more.

Although I do love to write letters to my friends around the world, like my mom does, I prefer to use fancy pens for everyday uses, too — like my dad does.

With a full range of models including fountain pen, ballpoint, and roller ball, PARKER Urban provides durability and flamboyance in a single pen.  Where image is everything and quality is key, the Urban is an outstanding gift for men leading a modern life.

The Parker Urban, along with many other models of Parker pens, is available at fine writing specialty stores throughout Canada and at Reids, Basics, Wallacks, Novexco, Boutique Du Stylo, Le Parchemin, and Duly Noted.  Prices range from $32 to $100, depending on the model of choice.

I’d love to hear from you! Do you use fancy pens for special occasions or everyday use?
