Starting my Morning off Right with Fibre 1 Almond & Cluster Delight Cereal #Fibre1ACD

I tried something new—Fibre 1 Almond and Cluster Delight Cereal, thanks to Mom Central.

Fibre—not something I’ve given much thought to. Gone are my university days where I didn’t have enough time or motivation to eat healthfully. I’m heading in to another birthday soon, and one thing that’s been on my mind is my health. I’m not as concerned about the number (as in my age), so much as how I feel. Honestly, I could be taking a lot better care of myself than I have been.

Skipping breakfast or just grabbing a coffee is not a great way to start the day. I’ve challenged myself to take the time to relax, gather my thoughts and sit down for breakfast each morning, in the last week. Truthfully, I tend to prefer not to have overly sweet meals early in the day, so the lightly sweetened whole grain flakes and sweet, crunchy almond-filled clusters in this cereal sound like the perfect way to start my day.

What I noticed after enjoying this wholesome breakfast was that I felt full for hours. Getting 40% of my daily fiber intake in a single bowl? That’s just a bonus! While I would love to be able to put together a full breakfast with multiple components each morning—living alone, it’s just too much work to do that! Instead of skipping breakfast and getting straight to work on my computer, a quick stop for a fibre-rich breakfast is a great alternative.

It’s late at night, and your stomach starts to rumble. What do you do? I bet you do the same thing as I do—grab a bowl of cereal. The problem is, if you’re picking up a typically-sugary cereal, you’re going to be kept up for a few hours. That just isn’t the case with Fibre 1 Almond & Cluster Delight Cereal. My work schedule is all over the place, and I often stay up late to finish what I’m working on. Thos late-night cereal snacks really come in handy!

If you’d like to try this cereal for yourself, make your way to the General Mills Facebook page to grab one of their very limited run coupons. Get more information on the Life Made Delicious page.

Disclosure – I am participating in the Fibre 1 Almond & Cluster Delight Cereal blogger campaign by Mom Central Canada on behalf of General Mills. I received compensation as a thank you for participating and for sharing my honest opinion. The opinions on this blog are my own.
