5 Benefits of Getting a Lash Lift

A lash lift is a cosmetic procedure that curls your natural eyelashes. It can be a great option if you’re looking for a low-maintenance makeup look that can still be used to create a sultry smokey eye for a night out.

A lash lift typically includes a lash tint, a semi-permanent dye that darkens your eyelashes. The process takes between 45 minutes to one hour and is relatively painless.

Longer Lashes

A lash lift is the same as a perm but for your eyelashes. It gives them a beautiful, natural-looking curl that makes them appear longer and fuller. Unlike lash extensions, this treatment is much quicker and more affordable.

It is essential to keep your lashes away from water, steam, and makeup for 24 hours after getting a lash lift so that the lifting solution can set into place properly. This will ensure that the results last for a long time.

Lash lifts are beneficial for clients with stubby or straight lashes. They can make them appear much longer, separated, and curled upwards, which helps to open up the eyes and give a more captivating look. They’re also great for hayfever sufferers who find that their eyelashes tend to run and itchy.

Less Makeup

If you’re a heavy makeup user, a lash lift near me can help reduce the needed product. By giving your natural eyelashes a more upward curl, the treatment can also make your lashes look longer and fuller.

One important thing to note: If you have a lash lift done, it’s best not to apply any eye makeup for 24 hours afterward. This will ensure that the solution to your new, voluminous curl doesn’t fade or get ruined by any eyeshadow ingredients.

You can still apply oil-free eyeshadows after the initial 24-hour period, but make sure you’re using products that are easy to remove. Otherwise, the lash lift can fall off faster than you might think.

More Confidence

Even if clients have stubby or short lashes, a lash lift will instantly make them look longer and fuller. This makes their eyes appear brighter, more open, and overall more captivating.

And unlike eyelash extensions, a lash lift is low-maintenance. After 48 hours of the procedure, it’s just a matter of coming in for touchups every six to eight weeks.

Clients should avoid getting their lashes wet, using oil-based makeup removers or eye creams, and sleeping on their faces to preserve the treatment results. They also should avoid chlorine and hot tubs since their chemicals can destroy the lift.

Better Sleep

Lashes are malleable right after a lift, so sleeping on your face or side can push them out of their picture-perfect shape. Likewise, rubbing your eyes or itching can also ruin the look.

To help your lashes stay in their beautiful new shape, it’s best to avoid getting them wet for the first 24 hours. This means staying out of steamy showers and saunas.

Likewise, it’s a brilliant idea to rest on your back for the first night (tummy sleepers, we hear you!) and use only oil-free moisturizers near the eyes. It’s essential to avoid using mascara after a lash lift, as it will only flatten the lashes and make them look clumpy. Instead, invest in a good mascara brush and apply only a thin coat of the product at night.

A More Natural Look

Your eyelashes are permed during a lash lift, giving them a more natural look than extensions. Plus, a lash lift will last longer than extensions, and there’s no need for regular touchups.

The day after a lash lift, avoid getting your lashes wet or applying any product. You should also prevent steam, any exercise that will cause sweat, and rubbing your eyes.

If you are considering a lash lift, choose a certified salon that uses only safe and proven products. Also, always have a patch test before you get the treatment. And remember, only a qualified esthetician should be performing this treatment. It’s too important to take chances!
