Honeywell HPA-150 True HEPA Air Purifier Review

With cooler weather approaching, I find myself staying inside more often. With indoor air quality being 2 to 5 times more polluted than outdoor air, an air purifier for allergies is necessary.

I recommend Honeywell HPA-150 NEW True HEPA Tower Allergen Remover

Honeywell

About product

Aesthetically, I think this is a great machine. I like that the tower is narrow, so it can fit between my bookcases and doesn’t have a very large footprint. There are three levels of air purification for this unit – there’s a simple knob at the top to change between them. I find this air purifier to be very quiet compared to our other one (another brand), and it seems to circulate air more readily. It’s important for us to have purified air, living in a dusty area with many smokers and pets around, in our apartment building.

This unit uses HEPA filters – true HEPA filters that capture up to 99.97% of microscopic allergens such as pollen, dust, smoke, and pet dander as small as 0.3 microns. There are 2 HEPA filters and a long pre-filter in this unit. All are readily available for replacement.

Perfect gift for

You and your family. Staying inside more often during the winter season means that you’ll be exposed to the more toxic air indoors. Do yourself and your loved ones a favour by getting one of these units. New Christmas gifts in the home mean more off-gassing of formaldehyde and other toxic chemicals into the air – an air purifier will help you breathe cleaner air.

Value

This air purifier is easy to find in most stores that carry small appliances. They carry replacement filters in stores as well. The only thing I would change about this product is that I would add a handle to the box.

I would love to get one of these. This time of year we have to take our one cat to get an allergy shot. Whenever the heat first comes on shet starts itching herself untill we get her a shot. So far it hasn't really been too cold so we are controlling her itching with humidifiers. Im convinced that its all the pollutants flloating around in the air, especially the air being blown by the furnace.
