Organizing Your Kitchen Can Be a Daunting Task.
It’s the hub for most activity in the home, so it deserves special attention to make it as functional and as fun as possible. Here are some tips to help you effectively organize your kitchen.
1 ) The best way to organize your kitchen is to first get rid of all the superfluous materials. Remove the broken vacuum cleaner that’s lurking in the corner or the boxes of martini glasses you’ve been meaning to return to your friend. Get rid of the bigger items that don’t belong and you’ll already see a noticeable change.
2 ) Next, clean up. Clean off the counters, load the dishes, sweep and mop the floor. It’s easier to start organizing the space if the space is clean already. Make sure that the dishes are all done and all the surface areas of your kitchen are as clean as they can be before you start getting into the nitty-gritty of organizing.
3 ) After cleaning begins the organization. Decide what the motivation is for you to organize your kitchen. Are the Tupperware containers uncontained? Are your countertops constantly cluttered? Is your space seemingly too small? Identify the root of the disorder in your kitchen, and you’ll be able to more easily organize and avoid more disorder.
4 ) Play the keep, donate, and toss game. Go through all the appliances, decorations, and even the food in your pantry to sort through the clutter. Sometimes the biggest culprit of a disorganized kitchen is simply too much stuff. This can be particularly problematic in a smaller kitchen. Quickly go through each cupboard and decide whether or not to keep the item (because you actually use it), donate the item (because it’s something you don’t use, but is in good working order), or toss it (if you don’t use it and no one else will).
5 ) Put the things you use often near where you use them. If you chop food on a particular part of your countertop, put the knives and chopping boards near that area. Put the essential or often-used cooking ingredients in an easy-to-access place. Are you a baker? Put the sugars and flour and other baking ingredients in attractive containers on the counter so you don’t have to dig through the pantry every time you need them.

6 ) Finding good storage solutions is the easiest way to organize any room. For the kitchen, store appliances you only use a few times a year in a place that is tucked away. Use the easier-access space for more oft-used items.
7 ) Keep food contained in pantries and cupboards and keep similar things together. If all the canned foods are in one place in your pantry, it’ll be so much more effective than if they are spread out between the pantry and the kitchen cupboard across the room.
8 ) Also, don’t be afraid to try drawer dividers to keep your drawers from becoming a black hole from whence nothing will ever return.
Ultimately, it is up to you to decide the best and most effective way for you to organize your kitchen according to your needs. Organizing your kitchen can be intimidating. But once it’s organized, you’ll feel much more at ease and happier in your new space.

I find this very in tune with the way I do things in my own kitchen. So I am affirmed in my efforts to organize and put order in the busiest and most used part of the house. One main factor that I have ingrained in my system is the donation of the unused or seldom used gadgets to the needy. As with other items, like clothes, especially, sorting out the ones we have not used for a long time, and finally deciding to discard them from our lives will help a lot in reducing the clutter that has accumulated through the years.
