Who’s excited about the Hunger Games movie premier? My brother first got me interested in the Hunger Games series, and they instantly had me hooked. I don’t read as many books these days as I used to, but managed to read the Hunger Games within 2 nights of just reading before bed. If you’re as in to the series as I am and would like to throw a party to celebrate the movie, or any other occasion, read on for my ideas:

Decorations:

For your walls, how about this propaganda poster?

This Bat Mitzvah party had some great Hunger Games themed additions, like the silver parachutes with pieces of bread hanging from them.

Another idea for decorations, would be to include some fire elements.

Party invitations can be printed (free) from Living Locurto

Party Favours:

If you’re going to have guests come from specific districts, be sure to know what kinds of gifts to provide. This website discusses appropriate gifts for each district.

Food/Beverages:

Bread from the different regions would work really well—and you could serve stews if you like, or just go with some beautiful cupcakes. For drinks, green poison-coloured or blood-coloured drinks would work well.

And also, these themed cookies:

Who will you be going to the opening of The Hunger Games and, perhaps, throwing a party?

I'm going to the midnight showing of the film tomorrow. I'm super excited! I'm actually planning an HG party for May, because my friends will be out of school and it's my b-day month, so it works out well. Thanks for all the ideas. I'm trying to find the best possible items for the party.
