I celebrated the beginning of the New Year on a date that made more sense to me than January 1st. This year, I got a bit of a late start, since I was out of town for most of January. Instead of getting down about the fact that 2014 didn’t start with a bang! I decided to use Chinese New Year as the date to really soar this year. I celebrated by treating myself to a much-needed massage.
With all the craziness of December and visiting family in January behind me, a massage was the perfect way to get things back on track.
I started by checking out the WaySpa.com website. You can either search by the name of the spa or choose your location and see what spas come up. When you click on the name of your city you’ll see a map with spa locations marked, and a sidebar filters. Want to make sure you’re provided with tea while you relax in a spa? Just look for that under features and you’re good to go! The spas that accept gift certificates are listed, and any gift certificate specials are automatically applied when you purchase on the website.
If you’d rather gift a specific treatment for your friend/family member, or know exactly what you want for your own? You can see all the services available and purchase just the ones you’re interested in. I love the different ways you can customize your experience from the comfort of your home! From there, you can either make a reservation online or call the spa of your choice to book an appointment.
By now, most people have forgotten their New Year’s Resolutions. I didn’t make any, but instead have a theme word (“soar”) and am setting intentions for myself for the year. A “new me” means regular massages and self-care time generally. What does it mean for you? And what are your favourite kinds of spa treatments?
Way Spa treated me to a spa treatment recently, so I was able to discover first hand how their website and gift certificate system works. I’m so grateful!
