Microplane Spiral Cutter : A Twist on the Everyday

I’ve been looking for fun and interesting ways to add some more “fun” to my salads and summer vegan meals. I have a fridge full of vegetables thanks to the many farmer’s markets that are nearby. I just can’t help picking up more of everything, several times a week! The Microplane Spiral Cutter has helped me create some interest with my meals and given me lots of ideas on new recipes to try out.

No-fail spirals

Like the look of all the zucchini pasta dishes you’ve been lately on Pinterest? Re-create the dish at home in a no-fail way with Microplane’s Spiral Cutter. Other than salads and raw meals, I’ve been using my Spiral Cutter to make beautiful carrot ribbons for stir fries.

The Microplane Spiral Cutter is a handy little device that retails for $14.95. It will be available this August/September, and comes in both green and black. I’m sure it will make your back-to-school/office lunches extra special. I’m also thinking that this will be a popular stocking stuffer gift come the holiday season.

Tips:

Use the large opening for zucchini, summer squashes and other large vegetables.

Use the small opening for carrots, parsnips and other small vegetables.

Rinse the Spiral Cutter under running water and give it a quick scrub before putting it in the top rack of your dishwasher.

I have been happily creating meals with the help of Microplane’s Spiral Cutter, which I received in order to test out for this feature.
