Salt Spring in the City Vancouver Event Preview

What are you doing this weekend? You don’t have to leave Vancouver to visit Salt Spring Island. Crazy, right?

On March 27-29, Salt Spring in the City will bring the island’s bohemian lifestyle and fresh finds from its most awesome artisans to Vancouver’s Heritage Hall (15th and Main). From the modern to the rustic, chic to traditional — with over 30 unique brands to discover, there’s something for everyone!

I’ve never been to Salt Spring Island, but I used to have a penpal who lived there. She often told me about the the artists who lived there. I’m happy to know that many of the island’s artists will be at the Salt Spring Island in the City event.

Here is just one of my favourite pieces you can expect to see at the event:

Here are some details for the event:

Admission is $3 for adults, and $1 for kids — with partial proceeds going to Save-On-Meats’ Sandwich Token Program, which helps those in need.

Salt Spring in the City will take over Heritage Hall (3102 Main Street) on Friday, March 27, 4:00-9:00PM, Saturday, March 28, 10:00AM to 6:00PM, and on Sunday, March 29, from 10:00AM to 5:00PM.

*The first 25 people through the door everyday will get an awesome gift bag filled with Salt Spring Island goodies.

FREE COFFEE will be provided by Salt Spring Coffee for the duration of the event.
