Home Office Essential: Sonos Play:1 Compact Wireless Speaker

Every home office needs a Sonos Play:1. I really think that having clear, inspiring or motivating music streaming in your work space can really make your day just so much more awesome. Whether or not you’re doing the boring (but necessary) work, or actually doing something enjoyable—the right music streaming from the right sound system can seriously improve things. These are my thoughts and results—I feel like there should be a disclaimer, but who amongst you wouldn’t love to have a great music system in your home and work place?

Sonos play:1

Concerned that you’ll be limited to what music you can listen to/play on your Sonos? Don’t be:

“ALL THE MUSIC ON EARTH
Do you roll with iTunes? Or prefer streaming music services? Want to hear radio stations from around the world? Whatever your jam, we’ve got you covered.”

67.01 GB. That is the size of my music library on iTunes. What do I usually do when I want to listen to music? I pick out a playlist on Songza or Slacker. I just love all the options available when I want to listen to music—and it all works with the Sonos Play:1 I have been trying out.

In addition to the Sonos Play:1, I have set-up a Bridge Wireless HiFi System so that I can have a wireless music system. The Bridge works with all of the players in the Sonos family. It connects to your router, which may not be very accessible, to extend the range of the whole network. This would be perfect for my brother’s house, which is a 4-level split.

The Sonos system is expandable. This is great because you don’t need to put down all your money at once. Each component of the system will make your place more and more awesome. The sweet little Sonos Play:1 has a mini footprint, which makes it perfect for my home office. I can put that “good things come in small packages” compact wireless speaker on a bookcase.

Check out the whole Sonos Home Theatre family here, and print off the page to put on your dream/vision board. I’ve been lucky enough to check out (or: make my dreams turn in to reality) the Sonos Bridge, Play:1 and Play:3 products. My birthday is coming up soon. Guess what I want this year? Thanks in advance.
