Stress

Nothing is trending more today in the health and wellness field in society than stress. However, there are good and bad stressors in life.

  • Continued stress day in and day out does a number on your body.
  • Stress influences every vital organ in your body.
  • Stress has always been associated with distress, physical, mental, emotional strain, pressure, or tension. You may feel that your stress is so bad that it exceeds your ability to cope with daily life.

There is one good side to stress in that it can be helpful to you to accomplish what you need to get done. Stress in itself increases your productivity in particular and specific instances.

Living in these circumstances can, at the same time, create your psychic stress overload. You may not even be aware of being on the brink of too much stress until the stress starts to take a toll on your health and wellbeing. When stress becomes too much to handle, and you have no answers, it is time to seek help from your primary care doctor or consider talking to a professional therapist for answers in handling your stress in the right ways.

Did you know that stress in your life is so high on the pinnacle of health concerns that there is an American Institute of Stress?

What is Stress?

No one can rightly define stress or measure stress on the human body because stress comes in many levels and forms. You may not see stress in the same way as someone else sees stress. Stress is your reaction to certain situations where you do not necessarily know the outcome or have control.

A statement made in the British Medical Journal in 1951 by one scientist said, “Stress in addition to being itself, was also the cause of itself, and the result of itself.”

Some people seem to strive on stress, while stress seems to tear other people apart. Most people agree that stress is an unpleasant experience such as found in difficult labour and delivery.

When you stop to think about stress, you find that every day you deal with some pressure. It is not the stress itself, so to speak, that causes your impending health problems, but how you deal with each instance of stress. You may find some stress relief from cannabis gummy bears.

What are a few stressors on the human body?

  • Work and personal deadlines
  • Facing fears
  • Sudden health crisis
  • Confrontations with others
  • Annoying physical and emotional stimuli you cannot do anything about
  • Extreme weather conditions
  • The COVID-19 Pandemic
  • Auto accidents
  • The sudden death of a loved one
  • Fright/fear situations
  • Job loss
  • New Jobs
  • Challenging daily relationships
  • A birth injury to a new infant such as Erb’s Palsy click here

Medical researchers did experiments on and found that stress in animals caused these same pathologic changes in the human body.

  • The stomach where ulcers developed
  • The lymphoid tissue shrank
  • The adrenal glands enlarged
  • Impending heart attacks
  • Impending kidney disease
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Accelerated the ageing process

What kind of wear and tear on your body does your stress cause you?

Are you learning how to handle one day at a time in the best way you can?

Are you tackling short and long-term stress sensibility?

You most likely can identify your stressors; however, you probably cannot define these same stressors. It is perfectly normal to experience living on the mountain tops and then plummeting into some deep valley for a spell before finding yourself on top of things once again. No one can live on the top of a mountain forever, nor can they permanently reside in a deep valley. There are ups and downs to life, and everyone must learn to handle this roller coaster life sensibility. You are far better off when you conclude that this roller coaster ride you find yourself riding is called life. Stress is what life is all about, and for the sake of your health and wellness, you must take each situation and learn how to handle it.

Remember that nothing lasts forever, including stressful situations. If you can do something about the situation, do it. I encourage you to try a variety of things that may help to see what works best for you. You may be fortunate enough to live in a country like Canada, where you could go to an online dispensary Canada and explore the world of cannabis, and its potential stress-relieving properties. However, this won’t be an option for everyone, but you may still be able to find other products within the cannabis family that are permitted where you are. For example, if this is something you are interested in, you could check out options made from hemp and decide for yourself if you agree that lawmakers accidentally legalized an intoxicating substance.

If you cannot do anything about it such as a birth injury, learn to live with it in the best ways possible for the sake of your health and wellbeing and seek a medical consult for the overload of stress on the human body. If you feel you would benefit from a stronger doctor-patient relationship, consider a house call doctor in DC. They typically offer longer appointment times and telehealth services that allow you to ask questions between checkups.
