NAVV Traveller USA iPad2 App Review

by Tazim Damji

Whether on a road-trip, travelling to a new city or finding your way around your hometown, the NAVV Traveller makes for a fantastic companion. On our recent month-long trip to the USA, Greg and I visited many cities where we walked and used local transportation—but we also did a lot of driving. For a few days in Seattle and a few more in Orlando, plus 2 weeks throughout Texas, we drove—and NAVV Traveller showed us the way. There are 32 different NAVV apps for the iPhone/iPod, available for ...

Targus Eco-Friendly iPad2 Case and Stylus Review

by Tazim Damji

I used to see a lot of college students bring their laptops to class to take notes (and to keep updated on their friends' Facebook pages), but I'm sure this year more students will be bringing their iPad2 or other tablet devices to class. This case from Targus not only provides a cushy place to store and tote around your iPad2, it also has room for all your other school or work essentials. The Targus Spruce EcoSmart Mini Messenger for the iPad (ARV $39.99) is not only eco-friendly—it is ...

Art Authority—iPad2 App Review

by Tazim Damji

A Virtual Art Museum at Your Fingertips As an art historian, I was naturally curious about this app that allows you to view and find out information on thousands of works of art. The Art Authority iPad2 app is a fun way to discover new art from your favourite artists and find new artists to love. photo source You start by looking at the wall with mini pictures of art from different time periods/movements. You can either browse a certain section and then choose an artist, or go through the ...

Venture iPad2 Case From Case-Mate Review

by Tazim Damji

It would be pretty fair to say that the Venture Case from Case-Mate is my favourite iPad2 case so far! I like how the case encloses my iPad2 entirely, so that I know the screen and backside are well-protected. This may not be necessary at home, but when taking my iPad2 outside, it's nice to know that I can safely pop the whole thing in to my bag and be off. The Venture case is really comfortable to hold, because it is slightly padded, with soft felt-like material inside. I love the combination ...

iPad2 Travel Express Case Waterfield Designs Review

by Tazim Damji

Toting an iPad2 is only the beginning—what about a wireless bluetooth keyboard and USB charger? You can fit these things and more in the iPad2 Travel Express Case from Waterfield Designs. The inside of the case is nicely padded, providing ample protection for your iPad2, keyboard, etc. I like that there is a side zipper so that you can easily put in and remove your keyboard.  ...

Case-Mate iPad 2 Barely There Case Review

by Tazim Damji

Case-Mate's Barely There iPad 2 Case is simple, discrete and super-light. The purpose of this case is to add a bit of grip to the back of the iPad 2. The smooth surface of the iPad 2 can be quite slick and slippery. If you are looking for a quick fix for this problem, and usually put your iPad 2 in a holder or bag, this might be just what you need. You can put this on your iPad 2 and then put it in a cute zippered case and not worry about it slipping out of your hands. It would also be ideal for ...
