I’ve been eyeing this nature print in the shape of My Neighbor Totoro character (mega Totoro—the one where you can sleep on his tummy) for ages over on Pinterest and on the RedBubble website. It’s mine now—finally mine!I still haven’t purchased a frame suitable for it, but it’ll happen in the next month or so. I’m sure as soon as September rolls around I’ll be in the mood for some re-decorating. I have just the right spot to put this print—in the dining area (where I don’t actually have a dining table). I received Tonari No Totoro from RedBubble artist victorsbeard.

If you have no idea what a Totoro is, it is a character from one of my favourite movies by Hayao Miyazaki in the 1988 movie My Neighbor Totoro. It is the sweetest movie ever—and this print really brings about a lot of the emotions from the movie. I can picture myself running through this field with Totoro. . .

There are several different ways that you can get this print, but I chose to get the print on a metallic paper. It’s very subtle, but it adds a bit of texture to the print. Other than paper choices, there are different choices in print size. I got the 16″ x 21.5″ print, which is a good size—not too small, yet not poster-sized. I am planning on matting this with a cream matte and maybe a silver frame. . .or brushed gold. . .ideas?

I received the Tonari No Totoro print from RedBubble so that I could take a look at it in person, and write this feature. This Totoro art print will have pride of place on my wall.
