Here are some more entries for the Ultimate Paint Kit Contest:
Amy:
There are 4 photos of an ugly bedroom in my house. The first three photos show water damage on the ceiling and cracks in the wall. There is also smoke damage on the walls due to our wood furnace that is being replaced this year (almost every room in the house will need to be repainted due to the wood smoke damage!). The lavender wall color & border need to be changed to give the room a more contemporary look.
The last photo shows the window in the bedroom that has blankets over it. The blankets are necessary due to the cold wind that blows in the window during the winter. The window desperately needs to be replaced. In fact it gets so cold in that room sometimes that you need to sleep with a hat on!! So this is my ugly room that could really use a major upgrade.
Ellen:
I am painting the hallway now. The wall is done but I need to do the stairs.
here is my ugly room… help !!!!
We bought the house and this is what we have to work with. That wall color and carpet have to go. I feel like I am living in a closet. Someone started patching the walls and quit.
Here’s my entry into your ugly room contest. This is actually the stairway. It’s a high traffic area. The paint is chipping at the corners there are several gouges in the wall itself as well as scratches I can’t remove and a paint spot where my husband tried to “touch up” part of the wall with a color paint that didn’t match! This area needs help!Alicia:See the walls covered in posters? They’re not just there for the little guy’s amusement – our walls look terrible and they’re being covered up! I’ve been wanting to paint, but we rent. The landlord has the paint, I just don’t want to put a bunch of money into the tools to do it. Hope I’m sending this in time to win!Sharon:
sad to say this is my entry ! hoping it can be rectified PRONTO with one of your FAB prize painting kits!
Definitely a MUST to correct this MESS, eh?
thanks for the encouragement to enter – didn’t think i had anything without people in front of the walls,
so i cropped this one – does it give you enough specs to work with?
Clenna:This is one of my kitchen walls, which desperately need painting.
Cathy:This is a guest room I am working on. Yikes…company 2nd week of June too! I tried to strip the wallpaper and found the previous owner had not sized the drywall so it just ripped and ruined the walls. I am going to just sand the wall paper and paint right over it. Also two ugly book shelves I am going to paint and stripping the awful blue paint off the wonderful solid oak fireplace mantle.
What a mess! Not to mention the electricians left wires hanging out of the walls. My plan is to paint the walls an off white and the trim a bright white and decorate with a French Country look.Dab:
Janelle:Here’s my picture of our old apartment wall desperately in need of painting! This paint just looks dingy and old, it’s horrible. Oh the wonders of new paint! It would totally transform it and brighten the entire place.
