Vancouver Boat Show B.C. Family Day Weekend

If you’re one of my readers from the USA, you’re probably wondering what Family Day is. Family Day is a holiday that has been celebrated for years in other provinces, but it’s the first year that we get to celebrate, too. A fun family-friendly activity to do is attend the Vancouver Boat Show. It’s probably no surprise that I have a thing for sailboats. I really can’t think of a better way to spend a weekend than looking at boats and boat paraphernalia.

There’s so much to do and see, both at BC Place and Granville Island (the marina is shown below). It’s been really rainy lately, and will likely be rainy for several months longer—which is why I am excited to go check out the show. I’ll definitely be fantasizing about sailing away some place warm this weekend, when I view all the beautiful boats at both venues. Other than boats and cool boat-related products, there will be seminars, contests, and tons of information on safety, fishing and more.

I’ll be sharing my pictures and experiences with you at the end of the week, when I have a chance to check out the Vancouver Boat Show. If you live in the Lower Mainland, what will you be doing this (brand new) Family Day weekend?

Maybe you have not heard of Presidents Day. The US holliday copied by Preimer Don Getty (Alberta) which was later copied by BC's Christie Clark. Happy Presidents Day Don Palm Springs golfing is great in Feb.

I lived in the states for 10 years, so yes, I have heard of Presidents Day. It's nice to have a holiday in February here.
