Whistler Cultural Journey

We had a lot of different errands piling up and also wanted to spend some time relaxing this past week, between finals/paper-writing and the start of new classes this Tuesday. We rented a car from Hotwire.com (about $10 a day!) for 2 days and ran a bunch of errands the first day and then drove up to Whistler the second day (Friday).

Because it is only May, just about all of the trails are closed, so we just went to Lost Lake in Whistler and walked around and had a nice picnic. We also walked around in the shops for a bit.

Recently, for the 2010 Olympics, the Sea to Sky Highway (from Vancouver to Whistler) was renovated. . . widened, and new ‘points of interest’ added to highlight important cultural sites.

That's a great deal on the rental car and what a wonderful idea. Sounds like you had a nice adventure.
