Winter Skincare for Aging Skin

Vegan. Made in Canada. Two reasons why I am loving the Rocia products I’ve been sent to help my skin stay hydrated during the dry winter months. Winter skincare for aging skin is no joke—I’ve seen countless high-priced skincare products targeted towards women concerned with how best to take care of their aging skin.

Natural skincare for aging skin

When I see ads for anti-aging skincare, I often see depictions of women (I guess men don’t worry about wrinkles and fine lines as much as women?) looking desperate to get rid of signs of aging on their skin. I see harsh chemicals, peels, and surgical procedures being used to give women a more youthful glow. While I do want to take care of my skin’s appearance and feel (now and as I continue to age), I would never want to use anything but natural skincare.

I was recently contacted by Rocia; a vegan, gluten-free, made in Canada line of natural skincare products; to test out a few of their products. I was running out of my usual eye cream and knew I needed something moisturizing for the upcoming winter season, so I jumped at the opportunity.

What happens to skin when you get older?

Skin loses elasticity and the ability to turn over cells as easily as it ages. Skin also feels rougher as it ages.

I don’t know about you, but I feel so much more tired and lacking willpower when I don’t have eye cream on. I use it day and night so that the delicate skin around my eyes doesn’t dry out and feel itchy. The Eye Soufflé by Rocia is gentle, helps smooth and hydrate, and reduces the look of fine lines and dark circles. I use it morning and night as part of my skincare routine. I need to use a small amount to feel ready to take on the day when I wake up in the morning. In the evening, I also use the Eye Soufflé on my brow bone to make sure I don’t get dry,

The Quench Extra Hydrating Oil can be used on its own or added to your regular moisturizer to add moisture to dry skin. I often visit my family in Calgary during the holiday season. Calgary is really dry year-round, but especially during winter, with the added heat from forced-air heaters making things worse. Not to mention how dry my skin feels when I’m there in winter with all the wind and snow. I like that I only need a few drops of this product to get the hydration I need.

You can find Quench, Eye Soufflé, and other products from Rocia online or find a retailer near you to pick some up in person.

I was sent a few products from Rocia to try out. I am sharing my opinions here because I am genuinely impressed with the products and wanted to share my experiences with you.
