My Mom Taught Me To Always Live Passionately
I don’t live in the same city as my mom, which makes it difficult to really talk to her. I mean, talk to her about things other than how I am doing at school or work—I love to hear what matters most to her. Two of my greatest passions came from her influence—creativity, and travelling/exploring the world.
My mom also advocates helping others and being charitable. These are two things that my mom is really passionate about. I know my mom did a lot more before I was born, like working with different organizations in Kenya while she was a Girl Scout representative for her country. Some of my best times with my mom have involved volunteering for various events.
I know she’d approve of the passion these artists put in to their art and craft. You can see some of the artists at work and listen to/read their stories on the Heart of Haiti Facebook page. I took a look at the shop at Macy’s and picked out a few things to show you that I know my own mom would especially like. Maybe your mom or other woman in your life would also like these?
