Vegan Belgian Waffles

An easy vegan waffle recipe that can be customized with extra ingredients or toppings!

  • 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup corn starch
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 3/4 cup soy or other milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 heaped teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


  • Combine all ingredients.
  • Turn on your waffle iron.
  • When your waffle iron is heated up, use a wok mop or pastry brush to brush a tiny bit of oil on to the iron.
  • Add recommended amount of batter - usually 1/4 to 1/2 cup, depending on waffle iron.
