If you’re planning to renovate your bathroom, you might end up spending hundreds and thousands of dollars.

If you don’t have enough budget to spend on renovation, it doesn’t mean giving up on the renovation idea. Thankfully, there are some inexpensive ways to renovate your space and give it a fresh new look.

In this article, we’ll discuss how you can update your bathroom without causing a big hole in your pocket and make it feel like new again. So, let’s get into it:

  1. Add Lighting

Believe it or not, lighting plays a crucial role in every room – be it a kitchen, bathroom, or bedroom. It can brighten up your space and make it look bigger. Plus, proper lighting in the bathroom can protect you from potential hazards.

For example, if your bathroom doesn’t have windows, then consider the best light fixtures are important. However, you can consider adding LED lights in your bathroom if it lacks natural light. The best thing about LED lighting is that they use less voltage and can withstand damage from water and steam, resulting in increased safety.

Also, you can consider other bathroom lighting options like a chic tubular sconce, spherical chandelier, recessed lights, etc.

  1. Update Flooring

When it comes to renovating the bathroom, most homeowners often overlook the importance of updating the flooring. Some of the best and most cost-effective flooring options are vinyl and linoleum. These flooring options are far better than tile flooring and are known to be durable flooring options.

So, if you’re planning to remodel your bathroom today or anytime soon, make sure to update your flooring to give that elegant touch to your bathroom and increase safety at the same time.

  1. Paint Your Walls

One of the easiest and most affordable ways to spruce up your bathroom is to refresh your walls with new paint.

However, you need to get a little bit creative while choosing the right paint for your bathroom. Of course, you want to make it feel like new again but you should choose a paint that has mildew-resistant functionality.

For example, the best type of paint for your bathroom is a satin, semi-gloss, and glossy finish. The paint you choose should last a while. Just make sure to paint the wall and the ceiling the same color.

Some of the best wall paint colors you should consider include bright white, charcoal, light blue, light green, brown, etc.

  1. Paint Your Vanity And Cabinets

Replacing a vanity can cost you a lot. It can cost you between $1500-$2000. If you’re replacing your vanity and it requires adding extra plumbing lines, then it will cost you more.

So, instead of replacing your vanity, consider painting it with bold colors and refreshing the overall look of your bathroom. It will help you save a lot of time and money on renovation.

Summing Up

So, these were some of the ways to spruce up your bathroom on a budget.

Adding wall art, decluttering your space, maximizing storage, hanging a mirror, and adding a wall-mounted cabinet are some other ways to renovate your bathroom on a budget.
