Breville Smart Waffle Maker Review

I won’t tell you how many waffle makers I’ve owned or used in my lifetime, nor the amount of waffles I’ve consumed. To tell you would open myself up to being made fun of, and being asked if I am the president of the “I Love Waffles” fan club. Instead, I’ll just say that I know a thing or two about what makes a waffle makers (and waffles) stand out from the rest.

Breville Smart Waffle Maker

The details and specs

The Breville Smart Waffle Maker cooks 4 waffles at the same time. The nonstick plates are not removable, but they are easy to clean with a cloth or a pastry brush.  Nonstick surface is premium PFOA-free non-stick. Stainless steel housing with cast aluminium cooking plates. It contains a BPA-free cup to make pouring batter easy.

Waffles the way you want them

There are 4 different batter settings, plus a custom one. Want your waffles a little lighter or darker? You can adjust the browning control for more customization with 12 different settings. If you’ve chosen a setting, but decide that you’d like your waffles to be cooked for additional time, simply select the “A Bit More” button so you don’t need to reset the timer.

Favourite features

The deep wells collect excess batter and are easy to clean out. I like that I can choose from 4 settings, but then also customize so that I can get have waffles exactly how I want them.

Even in my small apartment, the Breville Smart Waffle Maker would find a welcome home. I could see this being used at summer cabins or left at home if you often invite guests to stay with you there. With how quick it is to whip up a batch of waffles—especially since you can cook 4 at a time—plus all the different recipes I want to try out, I imagine this waffle maker will get a lot of use throughout the week.

The Breville Smart Waffle Maker costs $299. I can honestly say that I would see myself splurging on this small appliance, though, since I consider myself someone who chooses to spend money on quality products that will last and do the job perfectly. This waffle maker does one task, and does it extremely well.
