The Ultimate Guide to Clean and Disinfect Your Home

Household germs bombard us, and we’re often too busy to fight them. We must keep germs at bay to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. By using an on-the-go cleaning guide, you can take the upper hand in preventing the spread of germs and keeping your home sanitary. Germs are most prevalent in areas that receive high traffic and touch surfaces.

Cleaning and disinfecting high-touch surfaces

As people touch these surfaces several times throughout the day, the need for regular cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch characters in homes is vital. The UK Government and NHS have issued guidelines on adequately cleaning and disinfection of high-touch surfaces. This article will outline the differences between general cleaning and disinfecting after the COVID-19 outbreak.

The CDC recommends that cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces is essential for your family’s safety. This guidance is based on the latest recommendations on sanitizing high-touch surfaces. CDC recommends that a high-touch surface be disinfected with a solution of 70% alcohol or a surface protectant. This method should be followed daily, at least, to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and keep the people in your home healthy. To ensure that these guidelines in disinfection are applied, you may contact customized cleaning plan Marietta GA to do the cleaning services and disinfection of your homes.

Cleaning surfaces from airborne particles

In the early 2000s, the coronavirus made headlines, and many people began cleaning surfaces and washing their hands more often. Scientists say the risk of infection from contaminated surfaces is virtually non-existent. The most reliable way to prevent contamination from surfaces is to wash your hands often.

While cleaning surfaces is still recommended in most settings, it does not do much to prevent the virus from spreading inside buildings. According to updated guidelines, hand washing is still recommended as the best way to reduce the risk of contracting the disease. However, health officials should focus on improving ventilation and filtration of indoor air instead of cleaning surfaces. Dr. Fennelly, a respiratory infection specialist at the National Institutes of Health in the United States, believes that proper ventilation and filtration of indoor air are much more effective.

Cleaning surfaces from household items

Cleaning surfaces from household items should be a daily routine. Doorknobs and appliance handles are among the items that people touch most often. According to the American Cleaning Institute’s senior vice president Brian Sansoni, these surfaces should be cleaned more frequently than other surfaces. So the next time you clean your kitchen or bathroom counters, consider cleaning these items after using them.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, clean surfaces regularly. Use soap and detergent to scrub surfaces, and follow instructions for proper ventilation. Joint high-touch surfaces include door handles, chairs and tables, taps, and toilets. Vinegar is not an effective disinfectant.

Four simple steps

In addition to following a detailed cleaning schedule, you should follow proper hygiene in your home to prevent infection. Washing your hands with soap and water is an excellent first step in cleaning. Don’t forget to wipe the kitchen countertops, bathroom sink, light switches, telephones, and doorknobs. To disinfect your homes, you can create a solution of vinegar, water, or apple cider vinegar with a squirt bottle and spray it on surfaces. Alternatively, you can use disinfectants that contain alcohol or bleach. If you don’t have any of these, you can also use vinegar, but don’t use it on bathroom surfaces or toilets.

After cooking, the kitchen should be cleaned to remove bacteria and prevent insects from feasting on leftovers. Some household pests carry viruses and bacteria that can trigger allergies and asthma. To prevent these infestations, disinfect kitchen surfaces with EPA-approved disinfectants. In addition, you should wash dishes before use. In addition, you should disinfect the refrigerator, microwave, and other electrical equipment. By following these tips, you will ensure that your home is germ-free.
