Epson Stylus NX625 Printer

Epson Stylus NX625The Epson Stylus NX625 is a 3-in-1 printer/photo copier/scanner. Sometimes it’s better to have one product that does just one thing really well, but other times, like in the case of the Epson printer, a multifunctional product is really what you need. Who would have a full-sized photo copier at home? I’ve had to photo copy things more than I would have thought. When sending away forms, it’s always a good idea to only send a copy and to keep the original for your records. . .but, perhaps you don’t need a physical original. This is where the flatbed scanner comes in handy. In an effort to work toward a paperless office, we are using the scanner more and more and donating or recycling (or shredding) our excess paper items. I have a lot of great art books that I’d love to scan segments of. As soon as we move and unpack some of those books, I’ll be sure to post on the related topics.

In the above photo you will see that the buttons for making photocopies are easy to navigate.

epson printer

Here are a  few of my favourite features:

  • You can print wirelessly. Who needs more cords from their computer? With Greg and I both using the printer, the wireless feature is necessary since we have 2 computers.
  • This printer has a duplexer which means you can print on both sides of the paper.
  • The scanning quality is high—2400 dpi.
  • Includes a good amount of ink: 1 standard black and 3 standard colours. Sure, other printers may have more colours in their printers, but what will you be using your printer for? While the photo printing quality on this is good, we have a dedicated professional printer for photo printing. I am happy to only have the 3 colours plus black with this printer.
  • The ink dries really quickly! This is great because you don’t have to worry about smearing the ink on your newly printed photos or pages.
  • This printer was easy to set-up and start using.

Epson Box

What is included with this printer:

  • Epson Stylus NX625 All-in-One printer
  • One 125 Black Standard-capacity Ink cartridge (T125120)
  • One 125 Cyan Standard-capacity Ink cartridge (T125220)
  • One 125 Magenta Standard-capacity Ink cartridge (T125320)
  • One 125 Yellow Standard-capacity Ink cartridge (T125420)
  • Instruction manual
  • CD-ROM containing drivers
  • Power cord
  • USB cable not included
Paper SelectThe paper select tab and the paper tray in general are quite sturdy. My old printer really bothered me because the quality of the printing was great, but I constantly had problems with the paper tray. As you can see, you can print multiple sizes of things. I received a nice selection of paper and photo paper to test out this printer. I really liked the quality I saw, and how quickly the ink dried on the various types of paper.
Epson printerHere is the paper feed. The bar holds paper in place well. Like I said, my old printer was flimsy in parts. The bar on that old printer kept moving.
The possibilities are endless for what you can use this printer for—school projects, printing photos to send to your friends and family, papers/essays, invitations. . .
I would recommend this printer for anyone going back to college, or anyone with a home office—lifelong learners, too, of course. You can purchase this printer on Amazon
or from one of the retailers listed on the Epson page.
