HGTV Summer Décor Ideas Thanks to Sarah 101

When people think of Canadian interior design, I’m sure their first thought is of Sarah Richardson.

HGTV on television or online is the perfect way to spend those rainy summer days (and nights)—and those that are too hot to spend in the sun. I often feel the urge to change my décor seasonally, yet I don’t want to pay a lot each time to do so. Sarah 101 is in its 2nd season, which started a few weeks ago, and has a ton of fresh ideas for sprucing up your décor.

Each week, on Sarah 101, Sarah Richardson picks out Para Paint colours to suit the look of the room. The most recent episode (1 of 2 double episodes that were on) was a makeover of a Dual Purpose Den. I used Para Paint to redecorate my mom’s living room and kitchen and was really pleased with the way it turned out.

SEASON 2 TUESDAYS AT 8PM ET| 5PM PT

Sarah 101 is a dynamic back-to-basics crash course in design! Sarah Richardson, award-winning host of Sarah’s House, Sarah’s Cottage, Design Inc., and Room Service shares her expert tips and tricks to help solve your design dilemmas big and small. Think of Sarah 101 as a weekly behind-the-scenes peek at the adventures that unfold in the world of interior design. Each episode follows Sarah and co-host Tommy Smythe as they take on challenging renovations, juggle budgets, manage client expectations (and emotions), and produce incredible reveals. Sarah 101 will definitely be the most fun and informative class you’ll ever attend from the comfort of your own home!

You can watch Sarah 101 as well as a ton of other great HGTV shows online at HGTV.CA. I feel like summer is a great time to sit back and relax, and catch up on some home and garden shows—for summer décor ideas as well as ones for fall.

I love Sarah, she's so inspiring. And Tommy is such a character; they make the greatest pair and are such a blast to watch! 🙂

I was so happy to see a whole morning of Sarah 101 on my TV schedule. It is a new program of Sarah Richardson's for me. I have always enjoyed the banter and fun that she and Tommy had. But the first two episodes I have seen have had so many crude remarks and inuendos that I am frustrated watching it. It just doesn't meld with the previous shows with Sarah Richardson that I have seen. I'm watching the third show and it's much less offensive to me. Just my opinions.
