I Confess! Bikes, Fall TV, New Music, and More

This is a new weekly series all about what’s going on on my end — what I’m currently listening to, watching, obsessing over and a confession, just for fun. I hope this will let you get to know me more and get conversations started on some of my favourite topics.

Watching while I’ve been waiting for the new fall shows to start:

  • Fargo
  • The Amazing Race Canada
  • Masterchef USA

Loving this music:

I’m listening to so much new music lately, that I have a new “playing this song on repeat” every single day. Today: (and this isn’t a new song, but I’m currently loving it) Jill Barber’s In Perfect Time

And my state of mind is hiding in
The shadow you left behind
And this song is playing in my head
As you walk away in perfect time

Other new music I’m listening to:

  • Jenny Lewis’ The Voyager
  • Owen Pallett’s In Conflict
  • The New Pornographers’ Brill Bruisers

The new season of my favourite podcast Definitely not the Opera (DNTO) started up again this season with this episode about bikes. Podcast host Sook-Yin Lee is an amazing storyteller, and makes the most seemingly ordinary topics seem interesting.

Confession time:

I don’t know how to ride a bike. I may have ridden a tricycle as a child, but as an adult? I have always wanted to, but am fearful of falling over and looking stupid while I am still learning. I know one other person (other than my family) who doesn’t know how to ride a bike, either. What have you always wanted to learn how to do?

Want to chat about any of the above topics or want to recommend other awesome things to me? The best way to do so is via Twitter: @beingtazim.
