Mary Jurek Design Inc. Helyx Acacia Round Tray Review

The Helyx Acacia round Tray with Knot Handles which I received from Mary Jurek Design Inc. is a solid wood tray with silver knot handles.

The tray is a fair size—good for putting in the centre of a table with condiments, salt and pepper grinders, or a vase of flowers. I like the way you can see the grain of the wood and the nice, natural sheen to the tray. The knotted handles are well-designed and firmly held in place on the round tray.

Tray

The Acacia Wood tray is part of the Helyx line, which includes serving utensils, decorative items, keychains, and serving dishes. You can view this full collection and others on the website, where you can download a .pdf of the 2011 catalogue.

I think that having too many accessories in a home can end up making the space look cluttered, but if you choose a few pieces that you love and are of high quality, you can have fewer, nicer things to add a touch of elegance.

I also like the look of the Olivia Collection, which would work with the tray I received, nicely:

Where to Buy:

Because many items are not available for purchase on the website, it is difficult to know how much the items cost. If you like the look of these items and others on the website, I would suggest you take a look at them in person at one of the stores where they are carried. There are 2 places in Western Canada where you can purchase these items and others from the different collections, in person— In Calgary: B. Gifted 1607 90th Ave. S.W.  and in Vancouver: Atkinson’s. Click here to see full list of where to buy.

What do you think of this look? Where would you use this tray?

Wow, this is gorgeous. Love the Oliver collection too. So pretty and everything is practical. I can see myself using them everyday. I'm going to browse around their site a bit more. Thanks for sharing and Happy Friday.

Thanks for your comments Amy. I love the look of many of the collections…and like you said, I think they would work well for everyday use. I mean, not that they don't look nice (for gifts or special occasions), but I think that they are very practical yet beautiful.
