Must-Have Back-to-School Supplies for Lifelong Learning

If, like me, you are a lifelong learner who is always on a quest to learn something new, you’re going to need a few essential back-to-school supplies. I have been spending a lot more time at home lately, writing blog posts and working on my nutritionist consultant diploma program. As I am at my desk for so long, I notice more when my supplies are sub-par.

The non-negotiable essentials for a good study environment

  • Dedicated desk with enough space for your computer and other desk-top supplies.
  • Ergonomic chair – you have to be comfortable!
  • Good supply of light – task lighting on your desk in addition to general lighting within the room.
  • Paper and pens – yes, I use these even though I use my computer for most things. I love getting my to-do list down on paper and brainstorming on scrap paper, too.

Additional Desk Supplies for Lifelong Learning

Kensington Portable Lock Box

You may be wondering why you’d need a lock box if you’re a student or lifelong learner. Well, what about when you take your books to the park to study? Or the library? Or how about the beach, gym, or pool? It’s going to become apparent soon that you need to lock away your mobile phone, passport, keys, wallet, money, and other important things. You can find it here: Kensington Portable Lock Box.

I like the dual-locking mechanism. I don’t have to worry about accidentally losing the keys as there is also the option to use the 3-digit combination dial to unlock this box.

USB Hub

Using a laptop for my studies, I quickly run out of enough USB ports for all the things I need to plug in. I’m sure this has also happened to you, too. Check out this 4-Port Hub, which includes 2 USB-A Ports and 2 USB-C Ports.

An External Mouse

It’s really uncomfortable and inefficient to use the trackpad on my laptop, so I think that having an external wireless mouse is really important! One thing I love is that this mouse can be paired in a number of ways:

Provides multiple pairing options – connect to a laptop or mobile smart device via Bluetooth 3.0 or 5.0 (Bluetooth LE) to save a valuable USB port, or to a desktop PC via the 2.4GHz USB-A Nano dongle.

If you don’t have a personal computer you can use for studying and doing school works at home, consider buying a refurbished laptop from a trustworthy supplier. This way, you can save money while getting a tool that works just as well as a brand-new computer does. Before buying a refurbished device, do make sure to check if the supplier offers a warranty, hassle-free return in case of product defects, and customer service assistance if you have concerns about the unit. Read reviews, and ask questions to make sure you get what you paid for.

Whether you’re finally taking that course or program that you’ve been meaning to sign up for or continuing your studies, there are for-sure some supplies for lifelong learning you will need.

I was sent the above items in order to write this post. I was not otherwise compensated. I’m currently studying a few things: an advanced blogging course, a videography course, and a diploma program to be a nutritionist consultant. What about you?
