Pfister Kamato Single Control Lavatory Faucet Review—Renovation Redecoration Project

I like to check out the washrooms (restrooms) in fancy restaurants and hotels. For me, this is a place where top of the line pieces can really shine. It is easy to skimp on furniture and still make a room look nice, but with plumbing, you need something that is both aesthetically beautiful and highly functional. Yes, I am a snob when it comes to plumbing fixtures. There are certain brands that make me go ‘wow!’ when I see them in places. Nice plumbing fixtures really show how much thought went in to a space. The first thing I notice when I go in to a bathroom? The faucet, of course!

Faucet

Pfister’s line of kitchen and bathroom faucets, and shower heads is large and varied. They have quality fixtures to match any style of bathroom or kitchen.  The Kamato collection is one of my favourites, and I was delighted when Pfister contacted me about doing a review of the Single Control Lavatory Faucet.

Aesthetically, I like the sleek, square look of the collection, and the sparkly finish of the metal. I really enjoy seeing the water pour from the open-top spout on this faucet. One thing I always notice in faucets in bathrooms especially, is that they are often very close to the basin—which means that you need to touch the sides of the sink in order to wash your hands. The Kamato Single Control Faucet that I received is perfect in this way—it is tall enough and the spout is long enough that I don’t need to worry about this.

Not only did this faucet come well-packaged (but not excessively packaged so as to create a lot of waste), but it came with this:

very clear instructions, and a gorgeous logo’d sink stopper (so everyone will know that I have a fancy faucet!). I think that this is a really nice bonus, because the entire sink is transformed with a new stopper and faucet.

This faucet was incredibly easy to install, which I did myself—in very little time. The thing about well-made products like this one is that they are designed to easily be installed with quality pieces that you know will last a really long time.

Save enough water to fill a swimming pool with the right faucets It’s amazing how a few small changes in your home can ensure you drastically slash the amount of water you use — in a manner that is practically unnoticeable and will save you money.

Here are a few simple tips to help you save thousands of litres of water each month (more tips are available by clicking here):

  • Aerators can save 1,900 litres (500 gallons) of water each year.
  • Save 75 litres (20 gallons) of water per day for every leak fixed.
  • Shortening showers saves 2,650 litres (700 gallons) per month for every minute.

The Kamato Collection from Pfister is part of the WaterSense line, which is one of the things that I really like about it. What does this mean? Well, the faucet is aerated, which means that air is added to the water when it flows from the faucet.

Our WaterSense Certified Products

The goal of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) WaterSense program is to protect the future of our nation’s water supply by promoting water efficient products, programs and practices. Our WaterSense certified products help reduce water consumption by approximately 30% without compromising your water experience.

Take an easy first step toward responsible water conservation with beautifully designed Pfister water saving faucets.

I know that Pfister is a name that I can trust for plumbing products—they’ve been around for over 100 years, and back their products with an amazing lifetime warranty.

The Kamato collection has a matching shower system:

I would love to update my shower plumbing to match the faucet, too! I also like several other collections from Pfister:

Faucet

The Kamato faucet was priced at $148 or so at my local hardware store. This really isn’t a bad price considering the quality, the water-saving measures and the beauty, of course! On my list of things I wanted in a bathroom is a faucet with a single lever—rather than 2 (1 for hot, 1 for cold).

What kind of faucet do you have? Do you like it, or would you like to change it?

Canadians will have a chance to win the Kamato Single Control Lavatory Faucet from Pfister! Click here to be taken to the giveaway.

This is part of my ongoing project to update my mom’s older home:

I received this Kamato Single Control Lavatory Faucet for my honest review. I was not compensated in any other way.

They are having a huge plumbing fixture sale at Lowe's, which sells Pfister faucets! 🙂 I love this faucet, but they also have so many others that are gorgeous.
