Portland, Oregon is a place I’ve always wanted to visit. Everything I’d heard about the city proved to be true – the laid-back bohemian atmosphere, great art institutes, food and shops were all present. I look forward to going back there, if only to check out more of the great vegan restaurants and coffee shops!

Street I love the architecture in Portland!

Bed hotelThis is where we stayed in Portland, using United (airlines) miles for 2 nights. The Portland Marriot City Center Hotel had a nice décor and was well-located. The room was a great size and the bed was quite comfortable. The carpets seemed like they were recently replaced, too.

Hotel Portland

Architecture PortlandWe enjoyed going to the Saturday Market, which had all kinds of local art, clothing and more. . . we also went to several vegan restaurants, found a great place that served vegan pizza until 2am and had a nice, relaxing trip!

Portland Waterfront

WaterfrontPark Street in PortlandThe Portland Art Museum was free on Fridays after 5pm, so we went there as soon as we got to the city. I was blown-away with their selection of art! I can’t believe we got to see it for free!
