Road Trips & Picnics are Easier with Rubbermaid LunchBlox Products

One of my favourite things about road trips is stopping by scenic spots and enjoying a packed lunch. Of course, I don’t like having a ton of containers and dishes to deal with—which is why I like these Rubbermaid LunchBlox stackable containers. Greg and I usually pack some bread and sandwich fixings and make up sandwiches at the location. Now, we can put together what we need in one of Rubbermaid’s LunchBlox Sandwich sets:

The kit comes with a sandwich-sized container, a rectangular container and two little containers—plus a blueice, which will keep everything from getting too hot during those summer road trips.

We usually get hungry again after a few hours of either hiking/walking or just driving a bit further afield, so end up stopping again—which is where the salad container sets come in handy. I like that the salad container sets are all-enclosed. There is a spot for your dressing, and any little veggies you want to add, like cherry tomatoes or carrot sticks. The salad area is a decent size, enough for a small meal or snack —and great as a picnic take-along.

All of the containers are microwave, freezer and dishwasher (top rack) safe. You can buy the containers as a kit, as seen in the images above or individually for your own combination. The containers are all BPA free.

This is such a good idea. I have a lot of containers, but they are usually round. And definitely won't be able to stack multiple smaller ones on the bigger container. Definitely need to check this out.

I just love this product and the fact that each part can fit together by stacking. It definitely offers enough space to fit whatever you choose in the lunch. I am always on the look out for a system like this for my son and his school lunches. I also like that the set is microwave, freezer and dishwasher safe! Thanks so much for the info!

These containers sound and look super, something I would really want to own. Just the fact that I can pack a sandwich appeals to me as most containers I have are round. I also like the one for salad because of a place to put your dressing in…great products always from Rubbermaid.

I have so few containers that I am always on the lookout for new ones especially ones that can fit sandwiches in

I love the blueice idea, and how they all stack so neatly. Seems like the portion sizes are just right, too.

These look perfect to bring to work. I am always loosing the little containers that work for things like nuts, salad dressing, etc.

These are fantastic and rubbermaid containers have never leaked on me. I had an incident the other day with fish bait and a cheap container that leaked all over my cooler bag. I had to throw it out so I've learned my lesson that quality can't be replaced.

I really love the concept of these ! I like the 5 small meals a day over larger ones, and when I work 10 hr shifts, these would just be perfect !

What a great idea – I love how these all fit together, and having the ice pack is a really clever way to keep food fresh for longer.

My hubby is always complaining that we have "tupperware" containers everywhere. This is a great way to keep things contained (sorry for the pun) and would certainly help to make my hubby happy.

I love how you can keep all your ingredients separate – helps make for less soggy sammies or salads that way. BPA-free and dishwasher-safe are huge pluses for me.
