Add a Splash of Colour for Spring

A bold, bright vase to welcome the sunshine.

Vancouver in the winter is grey upon grey—lots of clouds, rain and buildings that have the required shade of glass, so that nothing distracts from the views of nature. When I am at home, I like to be able to glance at bright, colourful decorative items in order to cheer myself up. Luckily, the warmer months are here and the beautiful green vase I recently received brings the colour of the fresh grass and leaves on the trees indoors.

I keep moving the Lime Carolina Medium Vase from my dining room table to bookcases, and to little vignettes around my apartment. The great thing about this vase is that it brings a splash of colour and interest wherever I put it. The organic shape of it works well with my eclectic style.

Here, I’ve used the vase with a handmade piece of pottery from Mexico and a glass urchin nicknack. I wonder if the inspiration for this vase came from the sea. I can imagine this as an underwater plant swaying with the movement of the water.

Made of ceramic, this Okra-coloured vase looks great on its own, or with a potted plant inside. I like that there are cushioned buttons on the bottom of the vase to prevent scratches on my table.

Instead of just having one colour per year, Pantone has recently announced that they’ll be choosing four colours per year. Spring’s colour is Okra, which I happen to really like. O.co has a great selection of products in spring’s hottest colour to choose from. Want pillows, rugs or lamps to co-ordinate with this lovely Lime Carolina Medium Vase? O.co has you covered.
