Store Tour – Mid-Century Modern HOME in New Westminster B.C.

While in New Westminster on an errand, last weekend, I stopped in to the River Market. The place is pretty empty, apart from a few bakeries and food places, and a small grocery store. One place I didn’t expect to find there was a mid-century modern furniture store. This style of furniture is definitely my favourite , and I used to own quite a few pieces—before I moved back to Calgary, and then here again.

The Mid-Century Modern HOME store recently moved to their new location in River Market, earlier this month. I think that their set-up is great and the pieces they have on display are gorgeous.

The store is spread out in to little groupings of chairs, sofas and the like, as well as vignettes of smaller decorative items.

So many vintage modern chairs to choose from!

I don’t know how I feel about these lamps – do you like them, and do you think they would look dated in a modern home?

I’ll take that sofa, please.

Oh I would love this store! I had no idea what mid century modern meant but I see this stuff looks like it's from the 60s, 70s, etc… duh! Yes, this is some of my fave, too! I have a chair in my office that I bet you would LOVE! It looks very similar to one pictured above. 🙂

You're welcome – I normally take pictures with my DSLR but didn't know I'd happen upon this gem of a store, so just had my cell phone with me. 🙂 I've been enjoying the Facebook posts with all the great furniture from your store!
