I’ve become convinced that fresh-picked tastes best when it comes to berries! And berry-picking is a quintessential part of summer. A few years ago, when visiting a friend’s family in London, Ontario, I got to pick strawberries (which we ate with vegan vanilla ice cream right afterwards). It was only until this past month that I got to pick blueberries – the first thing I’d picked locally.

It was after that blueberry-picking experience that I decided that berry-picking would surely need to be part of my summer must-do list.

When I picked all those blueberries, I had think for a bit about what to make with them. I put together a couple recipes and have found several others that look good, too.
