Best Furniture Shops Vancouver Gastown

Something I will definitely miss when I leave Vancouver is the furniture—from imported designer goods to uniquely created vintage-inspired pieces, there really is something for every taste here.

If you’re looking for some furniture or accessories to jazz up your interior, or want to do some window shopping, you’ll want to head straight to Gastown. Gastown is a historic part of Vancouver, located a few minutes from downtown, and easy to get to from Waterfront Station (for Skytrain, bus and seabus connections). Here is a round-up of the best furniture shops in Vancouver:

inform interiors

Inform Interiors

Located in 2 different showrooms in Gastown, the main Inform Interiors store features furniture and décor items on 3 floors.

Their product line includes BENSEN furniture, locally designed and manufactured in the city. They have an amazing warehouse sale every summer where you can find all kinds of great deals on the best designer furniture and accessories available in the city.

When wandering around downtown of Gastown, be sure to stop in to their main store‚—if only to gawk at the museum-quality pieces on offer.

Old Faithful

Also in the Gastown area, this housewares (and more) shop resides in a historic building on Cordova Street. I wrote about Old Faithful last year. The industrial chic on offer at this store works well given the location in historic Gastown.

Parliament

This store always catches my eye when I walk by it. Although the specific pieces of furniture and accessories wouldn’t necessarily work in my dream home, I do appreciate the quality selection and the way in which they’ve created their in-store displays. If you like owls, shiny things and shades of grey and white, this may be the store for you. Parliament is located on Water St.

Other Gastown furniture and accessory stores:

Zientte Interiors —Italian furniture, modern furniture and accessories.

Hi Marjorie, lovely to meet you! I agree, Gastown is a beautiful place to visit. Do you still live in Canada? I am moving back to Calgary after my month in the USA.
