Celebrating with Grand Gestures #ActsofCaring

What would make you feel appreciated? Do you have items on your bucket list that would make it on your “best day ever” dream day? A lucky Telus customer named Ramona got to tick off a few things from her list. Telus surprised her with an amazing day themed around her favourite things.

Do you know the expression “go big or go home”? Well, that’s what I had in mind when I was tasked to think of how I’d spend my dream day.

Celebrate with Grand Gestures

Picture this:

My day starts with a delivery of pink peonies. I’m then whisked away to a location with a waterfront view for a delicious vegan breakfast including coffee, of course. Walking along one of the many beaches would be next, followed by an early lunch and a hot-stone back massage. And finally, a helicopter ride over to Victoria (on Vancouver Island), before I go on a whale-watching boat. Sounds like a pretty awesome day, right?

Do you feel like you’re just another number, or just someone to be sold to? Maybe that the brands you’re loyal to don’t appreciate you? That isn’t the case with Telus—they truly appreciate their loyal customers, and they’re showing it by granting the wishes of some of their customers with grand gestures of appreciation. Not sure how true that is, or to what extent Telus will really go to in order to make their customers feel appreciated? Check out the video below (warning: you may want to have some facial tissues nearby):

Telus believes that it’s easy enough to send a thank-you note via text message, email or phone call, the best way to tell someone you appreciate them is in person. Telus’ top 100 customers will be receiving care packages delivered to their doorsteps, and be thanked for their loyalty. They’ll also be hosting a BBQ for the top 1000 customers and their families, and donating $5000 to the Guelph Children’s Foundation! Use the hashtag #ActsofCaring to help spread the word about this awesome campaign! With so many different options out there, it’s really important for brands to appreciate their customers. Simple gestures are always welcome—though, the grand gesture from Telus to their loyal customers is especially amazing!

Disclosure: I am part of the TELUS Grand Gestures Campaign and I receive special perks as part of my affiliation with this campaign.  The opinions on this blog are my own.
