Film Set Inspiration—Crazy, Stupid Love Jacob’s Classic Modern Bachelor Pad

While watching the movie Crazy, Stupid Love I noticed how great Ryan Gosling’s character’s bachelor pad was. Jacob’s place is a combination of classic, modern pieces and random stuff, like a Zebra skin rug. While, I’m not going to tell you to go out and put an animal skin on your floor, I am going to suggest some ideas for recreating the best parts of this look:

CB3 table

Glass Top Table from CB2cb3 sectional

Sectional Sofa from CB2

Rather than using the black stool in the photo, I would go with one of these stools from Ruksliving:

red stool

If you’re going for a classic, modern look—you have to have Alessi accessories, like this Alessi 205/29 Salad Bowl:

The lamp in Jacob’s living room is the kind of floor lamp that I would absolutely love to have. Here are a few options:

arco lamp

What do you think of this look, and could you see yourself with this style of furniture/accessories?

I love the piece on the wall behind the sectional.

It's all probably too bold for or too nice (kids running around)

I like the change of black for red…pops of color I do love!
