When thinking of the essentials needed for back to school, the first things that likely come to mind are backpacks, textbooks, and writing materials. But what about essentials for the health and well-being of students going back to school? This list of healthy essentials for back to school will make the school year run more smoothly with, hopefully, fewer sick days!

A Healthy Nighttime Snack Routine

A warm mug of one of the many delicious Organic Traditions lattes will help students get a restful night’s sleep. These healthy, dairy-free beverage mixes can be added to either (cold or hot) water or milk-alternative. My favourite flavour is the Turmeric Latte pictured above, but there are also other flavours: beet, chocolate, and matcha.

Healthy Snacks

Having healthy snacks to enjoy during and after school will aid in keeping children focused and full of energy. I like the fact that Wow Butter tastes like peanut butter but actually doesn’t contain peanuts or other tree nuts at all! This is a great alternative to regular nut butters, which are often not allowed in schools due to potential allergies.
