Set Inspiration: Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries
One of my best discoveries as of late has been the Australian mystery TV show Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries. Set in the 1920s, Phryne Fisher is a detective who employs a variety of interesting characters to help her solve cases and keep up her flashy lifestyle.
Miss Fisher has had a really colourful life and also some loss, as we find out. Phryne not only solves cases for others, but also finds out clues about a mystery closer to home—about the disappearance of her younger sister Janie.

The chair seen above, and again in the below photo, are tufted with brass nails and a lush fabric. I like the updated versions of this style of chair from Pottery Barn—which are less heavy-looking.
The tea cart and the silver tea service are classic touches that add a bit of elegance in any room:
WMF makes my favourite assortment of tea accessories.
