On a recent trip to the (amazing) design district in Dallas, Texas, Greg and I made a special point of popping in to the BoConcept store. We were greeted by a friendly gent at the desk and told a bit about the store, the company history and the design district’s idea of opening up to the public, stores that were previously only open to designers.

bo concept dallasFor those of you that aren’t familiar with BoConcept, its a company that’s based in Denmark, but has stores throughout the world.

To this day, we continue to produce furniture in Denmark, as well as in other parts of the world, where we have chosen to work closely with a few, select suppliers to ensure that our heritage and years of experience are carried through in everything we do.
Great design knows no borders. The basic need to feel at home is just as important in Shanghai or Berlin as in New York City or Copenhagen. BoConcept offers customized design so our products can be adapted to your needs and dreams, no matter where you live and how much space you have.

Canadian Industrial Designer Karim Rashid’s Ottawa Collection (for BoConcept) is inspired by his time spent in the nation’s capital when he first studied design.

Another new piece for Bo Concept, designed by Karim Rashid is this table, priced at $2,995:

What do you think of the pieces from BoConcept? Have you ever been inside one of the stores?
