Every season I put together a list of things I want to try, new adventures I want to go on, and books I want to read. One thing I’m always down on myself about is not making enough different types of food. I’m changing things up, though! I’ve been excitedly jotting down ideas for how to use things I have a lot of in my kitchen. Right now, I have a lot of different flavours of Smucker’s jam. I hope you follow along on my Instagram account in the next few months to see all the yummy creations I put together. Today, I have three pairings that are really quick to put together (every pairing takes 15 minutes or less and only uses 3 to 5 ingredients—and they’re all vegan.)

Smuckers Pairings

Breakfast: Berry Sweet Smoothie

It usually takes me a while to start feeling like eating something substantial in the morning. That’s why I prefer to put together a smoothie, like this yummy berry one.

½ cup of plain or vanilla coconut milk yogurt, 1 cup of soy or almond milk, ½ cup of fresh or frozen strawberries and 2 heaping tablespoons of Smucker’s Wildberry Jam are all you need to make a delicious berry smoothie.

Lunch: Orange Ginger Tofu

This quick meal is perfect for lunchtime. It tastes great hot or cold, making it easy to take as a packed lunch.

This recipe uses just 5 ingredients: 1 Thai chili pepper, 1/8 cup of soy sauce or tamari, 1 tablespoon Smucker’s orange marmalade, 1 inch of fresh ginger, and firm tofu. Enjoy the hot and sweet tofu by itself, or on top of noodles or rice.

I loved trying out this pairing, and enjoying each flavour layer as I went. Having tried this cold, I would say that it’s a great snack to take on a picnic.

Afternoon Snack: Ice Cream with Cantaloupe and Peach Topping

If I’m dragging my feet in the afternoon, but it’s too early for dinner, a sweet treat helps to get me through the rest of my work day. This yummy pairing involves a whole bunch of fruit and a cool topping as well.

There are only three ingredients in this treat: cantaloupe, vanilla soy or coconut milk ice cream and Smucker’s Peach Jam.

Smucker’s Pairings are a simple, easy way to create delicious food combinations with jam and other ingredients, designed help you discover how flavours mingle together for mouthwatering results. Each pairing has 5 ingredients or less, and is ready in less than 15 minutes. Because with a name like Smucker’s, it has to be good.
