Celebrate the Summer Entertaining Season with Lanterns

There are two main entertaining times of year—one being between American Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve, and the other being between Canada Day/the 4th of July and the end of summer. Indoor and outdoor entertaining during the summer season is all about both celebrating your family and friends, as well as the bright colours and delicious produce around this time of year.

Pears are so fresh and fun—I think they look great on these three lanterns. Whether or not you use candles inside these lanterns, or you leave them as-is, the colour combination is calming and just perfect for summer entertaining.

Tip: use citronella candles in these lanterns and place them outside when you’re eating and relaxing, to keep away bugs.

I love that these lanterns have handles on them, meaning you could hang them as well as leave them on a table or mantelpiece. These would look really sweet hung up for a backyard BBQ or party, don’t you think?

lanternsThese Square Ceramic Lanterns with Pear Cutout come in orange, white and green. I especially like the white one with the green interior. Which one is your favourite? The sturdy base that is slightly raised makes sure that the table doesn’t get too hot from the candle inside. It also helps with making sure the lanterns will not slide around. I wash’t worried at all that they’d scratch my dining table!

Looking for more décor ideas for your indoor or outdoor table setting? O.co has everything from tableware, furniture, and lighting options in fun colours or more traditional ones. I received the 3 lanterns in order to write this feature. They’ll work really well for upcoming dinner parties I’ll be having this summer!
